Guards killed 3 campesinos from MOCSAM

Radio Progresso reports that 4 hours after security guards killed 3 campesinos from MOCSAM who were in the process of recuperating land from, their bodies are still lying where they were shot. No medical forensic team has shown up to investigate the killings nor to remove the bodies.
PLEASE CALL THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY of Human Rights in Cortres, RENE DIAZ 011 504 3389-5098. Demand that the human rights of the campesinos of MOCSAM be protected and the dignity of those who were murdered be upheld. Inform Fiscalia Diaz that the bodies of the slain farmers are still lying where they were shot and that international observers will continue to follow the situation. Radio Progresso further reports About 1,200 farmers at about 3:40 pm began a new land reclamation Coowle sector in the municipality of San Manuel, Cortés department in northern Honduras. After several trips by private guards CAHSA sugar company has confirmed the death of three farmers.: "Alrededor de 1,200 campesinos que a eso de las 3:40 de la tarde comenzaron una nueva recuperación de tierras en el sector de Coowle, en el municipio de San Manuel, departamento de Cort?s, al norte de Honduras. Tras varios disparos por parte de guardias privados de la empresa azucarera CAHSA se ha confirmado la muerte de 3 campesinos."
At about 3:40 pm about 1,200 farmers began a new land reclamation in the Coowle sector of the municipality of San Manuel, Cort?s in northern Honduras. After several shots by private guards from the CAHSA sugar company, the death of three farmers was confirmed.
